- The first EU pilot project for new cross-border rail connections has launched: since June 14, 2026, Prague, Berlin and Copenhagen have been directly connected with two daily round-trip trains and a seasonal overnight service. DB Group’s new service is operated in cooperation with the Czech and Danish state-owned railways (ČD and DSB). This marks the launch of the first entirely new cross-border direct connection as one of a total of ten pilot projects supported by the European Commission.
