New collective bargaining agreement concluded with the GDL

DB Group concluded a new collective bargaining agreement with the German Train Drivers’ Union (Gewerkschaft Deutscher Lokomotivführer; GDL) at the end of February 2026. This includes an increase in salaries by a total of 5 % in two stages, a one-off payment of € 700 and additional adjustments to the remuneration structure. The duration is 24 months. Compromises were also agreed on the joint handling of the Collective Bargaining Unity Act, and an arbitration agreement was concluded until the end of 2030.
